Two Years of Camp Arcadia - Thank You Letter

Camp Arcadia turns two. And just a few days ago, our Discord server quietly turned one.
It’s hard to put into words what all this means to me. I started Camp Arcadia because it was always my dream to create a game. When I began, my only goal was to finish it. To see a story through to the end, no matter how small, weird, or niche it felt at the start. I had no expectations, but I definitely didn’t imagine it would become a world so many people would fall in love with.
But you showed up. You laughed, cried, theorized, supported, and even roleplayed your way into the heart of this project. And then it wasn’t just mine anymore.
In just one year, the Discord has grown into something more than a community. It’s become a home for so many strange, sweet, unforgettable moments. We’ve seen couples form, drift apart, and friendships begin. We’ve shared dumb jokes and deeply personal things. We’ve watched these stories and characters come alive in new ways through all of you.
And the game itself? It’s come a long way. From pixelated mushrooms to whispered nights behind cabin walls, Camp Arcadia has grown not just in style or polish, but in meaning. It now holds more depth than I ever planned for, thanks to your feedback, your playthroughs, and the way you’ve connected with the characters.
Elliot, Finn, Noah, and Gabriel. Liam, Kaito, Wyatt, and Aiden. The ones who made you smile, flustered you, broke your heart or healed it, brought memories, surprised you, or made you think twice before a choice. Maybe even changed your path. They wouldn’t be who they are without you.
This goes out to everyone who’s ever shared their feedback, cheered me up, or just played the game. Thank you.
And especially to those of you who’ve supported the project financially, whether consistently or just once. Whether you’ve been here since the start, just joined, or plan to return someday when life allows. I see you. I’m incredibly grateful. I hope this story is a good way to give something back.
Thank you for giving this little summer story a place in your world.
PS: Since you made it here, why don't you leave a comment here telling me anything from your experience with the game? What did you like the most? What did surprise you? What made you laugh? <3
Happy anniversary, campers.
Hael
